Wednesday 12/8

So yesterday was an odd day for me.  I snacked at work, which I dont like to do.  I had a double hot chocolate and Cheez Its.  I was really craving a snack, and that did me in.

When I got home, I was starving, so I had a glass of milk and protein powder (bumping protein intake before working out burns more calories).  But when I was working out (BL Workout), I felt like I was going to throw up the whole time.  So I barely made it through half the workout.  I wanted to workout, but my subconscious wouldnt let me.  So I just quit.  And the whole feeling like I was gonna throw up didnt help.

So I wasnt in a good mood.

On a side note, I have a new "dream" job.  This is 100% unrealistic, but its fun to think about.

I would love to be a WW leader/trainer for Congress.  Just them.  Work on both sides of the Hill doing WW meetings and workouts.  No idea why I want to do this, but it would be really cool.

And later, I was in the mood to snack.  I had 8, yes 8, rice krispie treats.  I knew while I was eating them that it wasnt a good idea.  But I still did.  But I did fight off the urge to eat an entire tube of Ritz crackers.  Man they are good.  So Im proud/happy I did that.

I have been feeling pretty down this week.  I think its cause I havent been getting enough sleep.  Ive been getting 7 hours at the most, and it hasnt been great sleep.  I think Im gonna crash hard this weekend.  I need to catch up, and sleep in on Saturday morning.

Welp, thats all I got for right now.  Hopefully I can turn this funk around soon.

DVD Workout Reviews

I am going to do workout DVD's along the way.  After I do one, I am going to review it.

I hope that is 1 per day, but well just have to see.  Im planning on doing that.

Heres what I have:

-The Biggest Loser DVD's
-Jillian Michaels's DVD's
-Bob Harper's DVD's
-P90X

As I go through my DVD case, well see which ones work well and kick my butt, and which ones dont.

My New Goals

So Ive been working on new goals for the past week, and here is what I was thinking.

-Make my first 10% weight loss goal by New Years.  (This is extremly ambitious, since thats 33.7 pounds in a month.  I know I probably wont make it, but Im still gonna push to make the goal)

-Lose enough weight by spring so that I can start running.  I could probably start running now, but with winter and being very heavy, I dont think it would be good for my knees.  If I lose weight by spring, then neither of those would be a problem.

-Be able to wear my XL shirts by summer.  This one kinda goes along with the running, but I have a bunch of XL shirts from THON stuff that dont fit right now.  When I lose weight, Ill be able to wear them again.

-Have to tie my pants by next winter.  Even though I wear athletic pants, I want to have to tie them because they are too big.  That would be a huge victory for me.

-Be able to work for Weight Watchers.  I would have to become a Lifetime Member, losing the weight and maintaining my goal weight.  So that's really motivating me right now.

All of these have to do with my weight, and Im really going to have to work hard to do it.  To motivate myself, I am going to break my weight loss goal (210 lbs ending, 127 lost) into smaller goals.  I am going with 10% goals, based on weight.

Currently, I am going to focus on losing 33.7 lbs by New Years, thats my first one.  Then take 10% of my weight then, etc.  Until I hit goal.

New Attitude, New Me

So its been a very long time since Ive been on here.  But heres what happened.

Ive packed on even more pounds, but Im finally getting it under control.

Weight Watchers came out with a new program, which debuted last week.  They re-worked the points system to keep in line with new science.  And fruit and most veggies are 0 points.  So that helps at snack time.

Last night was my first weigh in, and I lost 4.4 pounds.  I was really happy that I lost, but I wish it was more (but isnt that always the case).  I snuck a peek Saturday morning, and I was down 5.  But that was in the morning, my normal meeting is at night, and I was really dehydrated from drinking the night before.

I also cheated a lot last week, like a bag of chips, a lot of beer (good Hofbrauhaus beer, not Natty), and I didnt track as well as I should have.  So Im working on that this week.

But Im still excited about the loss.  Now Im going to work on making it bigger next week.

Check out the next couple posts for some other goodies.
